Tuna Sashimi Sicilian Style




1 lb. single piece of tuna, Sashimi grade, cut into slices ¼ inch thick

1 tbsp. chopped parsley

1 tbsp. chopped mint

1 tbsp. chopped basil

2 tbsp. Of capers drained and washed.

2 Tbsp. of finely chopped orange rind

½ cup of fresh-squeezed orange juice

¼ cup of balsamic vinegar

1 Tablespoon of sesame oil

4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon of Stellino Rub (See Below)


Recipe for Stellino Rub:

1 tbsp of onion powder

1 tbsp of garlic powder

1 tbsp of paprika

1 tbsp of salt

1 tbsp of pepper



Mix all the ingredients to incorporate and keep whisking until you reach the consistency of a salad dressing.


Lay the slices of tuna on the plates and dress with the sashimi sauce mixture.


Serve with a slice of grilled egg bread
