Place the strawberries in a large bowl and add the crème de cassis and mix. Pour in the sugar and stir to incorporate all the ingredients. Let the mixture rest for at least 30 minutes or up to 1 hour before serving. Chef’s Tip: For a more elegant presentation I like to serve the strawberries in a martini glass and top each serving with a couple fresh mint leaves. For a special kick of flavor you can marinate the strawberries with a tablespoon of chopped mint… no more than that.. otherwise the mint will take over!
