Passion, Pasta, Pizza, and Panini. I know, you might wonder “Passion” what a strange name that is for a cookbook. But in my case, passion is the underlying tone that eventually drove me to my culinary career. I remember falling in love with food early in my childhood at my grandma’s knees. She showed the art involved in the sautéing of garlic. To this day, as a matter of fact, this is one of the things that I do the best. The kitchen in my household was truly where the whole family would get together. It was where some of our most wonderful moments took place. Food, to me, is not just fuel for the body; rather, it is the gateway that leads to a beautiful world all of my own.
Yes, you see, when I cook, I don’t just prepare food. But somehow, somewhat I forget all the terrible things that might have happened throughout the whole day.
As I’m right next to my pots and pans while I hear the olive oil, sizzling, as I add the garlic, the chopped onions, and the tomato sauce, it is at that one moment that I enter my wonderful world of culinary dreams. This world, a landscape populated by the most wonderful recipes, is made of the finest Pasta, Pizza and Panini.
This book is all about is sharing with you that passion, to teach you and allow you to fall in love with the preparation of food as much as eating it. There are some wonderful things that are involved in creating in the kitchen those dishes that, not only make you look good, not only taste great, not only impress your guests but more than anything else, allow your own passion and creativity to flow freely and organize themselves into the spectacular creations that ultimately are your recipes. Yes, that’s exactly what I said, “your recipes”. Even though they might come out of my book, the most important factor of all the recipes that you will prepare at home is your passion.
