8 tablespoons cornstarch
3 cups milk, divided
1 cup cream
11⁄2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1⁄4 cup strong espresso
4 tablespoons coffee liqueur
1 cup whipped cream
1⁄4 cup grated chocolate

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and 1 cup milk until smooth. In a 2-quart saucepan bring the remaining milk and cream to a soft boil over medium heat. Add the chocolate and the coff ee, and stir well until all the chocolate has melted. Add the cornstarch mixture a little bit at a time, stirring
constantly for about 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture has thickened. Add the optional coff ee liqueur and stir well.
Pour into dessert cups and cool in the refrigerator overnight. Top with whipped cream and grated chocolate before serving.
