Sauteed Spinach

Spadellata di spinachi


4 bunches fresh spinach, cleaned
3 tablespoons olive oil
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon lemon Juice (Optional)

In a large bowl sprinkle the salt and pepper over the spinach and mix well with your hands.
Sauté spinach over medium-high heat in a large sauté pan with the olive oil, until the spinach starts wilt and then collapses, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the optional lemon Juice and mix well.
The spinach is ready too be served.
Chef’s Tip
Believe it or not, the best pan in which to cook this recipe is a non-stick wok! The borders are high so that as you toss the spinach, none of it will spill over. The heat is uniformly distributed and the non stick surface prevents scorching.
